Argentina’s Milei irritates Spain again with plans for visit
20 June, Madrid (Reuters) – Strong dissatisfaction was voiced by Spain’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday over what it described as Argentine President Javier Milei’s “deviation from expected diplomatic norms” in choosing to forego a scheduled visit this week with key government officials.
In the midst of a simmering diplomatic dispute between Madrid and Buenos Aires over comments Milei made last month, Milei is scheduled to land on Friday at the Torrejon de Ardoz air force base.
